My Vacation History

A personal reflection by faculty member Scott McKellar

Here is a very short summary of my journey as a tourist. As a young fellow my family went camping a few times around the province and we took a couple trips to Ontario to visit my father’s family. As I got older I worked from the age of 15 every day of the summer until I graduated from university. I took one week off to go camping with my girl friend (got engaged on that trip). I had spent a few weekends with the boys at a concert or camping in PEI, but basically my travels were limited to the Maritimes.

My first real trip took place in grade 12. My trip was during December and I missed the last two weeks of school. We were about 30 in number (from two schools) and we joined about 1,200 British kids for a Mediterranean cruise. We stopped at London before flying to Italy (Taranto) to get on the SS Uganda. We went to Egypt, Cyprus, Santorini, Istanbul, and Athens. When I got back it was Xmas vacation and I met my wife for the first time during that holiday period.

During university I was on the soccer team and also on the campus paper as a writer. This allowed me to go to all 4 Atlantic Provinces, Quebec twice, Ontario and Edmonton – where we lost in the Canadian soccer finals.

In the first few years after getting married we went to Bermuda, Florida twice and then Dominica Republic when it was still visited by more Canadian than Americans. We went to the DR with another couple and it rained for the first four days, so we each called our work place and took another week off. We had to leave the resort but had a great time in the little tourist town of Sosua.

We did not go anywhere for about five years, while my wife went to university. She graduated a year after I started with the College and we have been travel bugs since. I have been fortunate that in my work with the College I have been invited to participate in conferences as an attendee and as a speaker. The College has sent me to NFLD twice, NB and PEI twice each, Toronto twice, Springfield Massachusetts and for one week in the Yucatan (Mexico).

My wife and I have traveled once across Canada and the States for nine weeks and also drove to Florida twice for Xmas. We began traveling to Sandals resorts and went to Bahamas on the first trip in 97. We took a day trip to Eleuthera, and promised ourselves to go back. Also with Sandals we have been to Cuba, Jamaica 3 times, St. Lucia, and back to the resort outside of Nassau. We went to two other resorts in Mexico and Dominican Republic…but once you have been to Sandals, you have been spoiled by the best.

We took a trip in the middle of the summer in 1998 to Eleuthera for two weeks and hurricane Floyd came right threw town a year later. We have taken two vacations to Long Island also in the Bahamas chain, at which point we started thinking about buying land. We decided to go back once more to Eleuthera and everything fell into place. When made a decision to buy on the next return trip and in 15 months we had a small house. Since then we have returned 4 times as the small details of the house were finished.

I have many stories and adventures that I could write about each trip. If I had to choose my top three it would be my Grade 12 Mediterranean trip, the two week stay in Dominican Republic; and the first two week summer trip to Eleuthera, which we repeated this summer in our new house.

I would love to hear from each of you on what your favourite vacation was…and why.

I have given you my top three, but I think the grade 12 trip was best. It was about $700 and I had never been on a plane before. The biggest disappointment was at the pyramids outside Cairo. My travel buddy and I climbed about 4 stone blocks above level ground when we were told to "come down at once"...I wish I had said "I'll take the punishment" and gone to the top. Also on that trip was the Acropolis in Athens, a musical show (Hair) in London, a donkey ride down Santorini... and girls from England, Scotland and Australia who wanted to hang out with the Canadians who spoke funny.

I would have to say that my most memorable trip would have been when I went to Punta Cana in the Dominion Republic in April of 2005. I went with a group of 18 people (including myself) and was kept busy the entire time. Our days were filled with snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, water polo, and of course the occasional beverage. What I didn’t realize was that I was going to need a vacation from my vacation when I returned!

The reason why I enjoyed this trip the most was because this was my first time outside of the country and also my first time on airplane. I believe that this will be a time that I will always remember because not only did I get to visit somewhere so beautiful but I also conquered a fear that I had for quite sometime. After this trip I also developed the travel bug. A goal that I have set personally is to treat myself to a different destination each year. The world is too big and life is too short not to enjoy and explore it fully! Happy travels!

Cheers,

Vanessa Jones

For someone who hasn't traveled to South America, or barely outside of Canada. I must say that my most memorable time away from home would be this this summer. My boyfriend and I are traditional dancers and travel the Maritime powwow trail except this time we decided to head down to the worlds 2nd largest powwow in the world hosted at Foxwoods Casino in Connetticut, Mass, known as Schemitzun. It was the most beautiful experience I've had competing women's fancy shawl, against the worlds best. Not only just dancing but dancing to the best drum groups in North America. Being there representing the Mi'kmaq Nation was an Honor.

I think that my most beautiful and interesting trip was to go to Montpellier, France for a youth camp. This trip was my very first trip to a foreign country and it took place when I was in my second year at the university. Also, I hadn't been on an airplane before. The trip was awesome for me. First I went to Paris and then took a TGV train which was extremely fast to Montpellier where the youth camp took place. I had a great time there for 1 month. I had lots of nice experiences there and got to know different cultures and people. I suggest you go there indeed. You won't be disappointed.

I would have to say that my most memorable trip would of have been this summer (2007) when my family and I went to Vancouver for a week then we took the cruise ship to Alaska. This vacation was only 2 and a half weeks long but, so much stuff happened. In Vancouver our days were filled with many activities like shopping, touring the city, and seeing many totem poles. On the cruise ship there were many different kinds of food and more then you can imagine. We visited 4 different cities (including the capital) and the whole trip was just amazing. The most beautiful thing while on the Alaskan cruise was seeing Glaciers.

The reason why I enjoyed this trip the most was because this was my first time on a cruise ship. I believe that this will be a time that I will always remember because not only did I visit somewhere beautiful I will always have all the memories. If I had more money I would travel the world.

I would have to say that my favourite trip was my trip to Scotland. My parents suprised me for my 21st birthday and the whole familiy, including my grandmother who is from Scotland, all came along. We spent 7 days touring the country making stops in Fife, Sterling, Loch Ness, Glasgow and Edinburgh. I saw my great grandparents head stones and got to see where my grandma grew up and met my grandpa. I got to tour Edinburgh and follow the path of a charecter in one of my favourite books and went on a haunted city tour. We actually got to go out on Loch Ness on a tour and got to visit family that I have never met too. It might have been a short vacation but it was the best one ever!

Wow, what fun, fun you've had Mr.Mckellar. I sure have not been to all the fun and amazing places around the world that you have been to. My favorite vacation was when I went to Ontatio when I was 12 years old and we decided to drive there through the states and than come home through
Canada in order to get a broad beautiful scenary.I think that I love Ontario so much though just because I associate it with 2 of my favorite people in the world my two cousins that are about my age. The Best part of the trip was on the ferry from Yarmouth to Bar Harbour named "The Cat", which at the time was one of the latest and the greatest things to do and see.I will never forget the way I felt boarding the boat looking wide-eyed at all the busy people and how spectacular it was and then coming into Bar Harbour looking into the water and seeing so much sea life below and thinking how beautiful it was.

I have been south 4 times, and theres been two favorite trips for me. In grade nine i went to universal studios in Florida with my mom and dad, that was a BLAST going on all the rides. Everything along with that experience was unforgetable!
but theres no doubt about it, i went to cayo coco Cuba with my two bestfriends in April of 2006 and that was a trip of a life time. There was nothing more exciting then going on your own, with no parents. Now were planning on going every year. Everyday we would do what we wanted, tanned drank EVERYTHING, it was paradice :)

Mr. McKeller. First of all, impressive travel history you have for sure (you put mine to shame). Second of all, we all "aww"ed your camping purposal.
My experience with travel isn't as exciting as yours. Last year I went to Mayan Riviera, in Mexico with my mom, step-dad, siblings, cousins, aunts/uncles, and a close friend of mine. 12 of us all together. It was GOREGOUS to say the least. I was more than blown away. I had never been anywhere tropical until this trip, and aside from Flordia I had hardley been anywheres warm. I look forward to going back (because i DEFINITLY will) I hope that after this program is over I will be able to travel (or maybe even for co-op)

I would have to say my favorite vacation was when my family went to Florida and my aunt was living in Saudia Arabia at the time for a couple of years and she decided to surprise us and show up there. So that was a really fun surprise.

My favorite and most memorable journey was my trip to the South Pacific for eleven months. It was in the fall and I was becoming bored and not looking forward to another long, wet winter in Vancouver. After making final travel arrangements, I left my job and headed south with $600 in my pocket. My first stop was in Fiji where I spent an amazing five days at Beachcomber Island before heading to New Zealand. I spent three weeks touring both the North and South islands of New Zealand before heading to Sydney, Australia. While in Sydney I stayed at the youth hostel and it was there that I saw a notice posted on the bulletin board. A traveller was selling the remaining three weeks of her unlimited bus travel ticket for a mere $25. That $25 got me into the outback of Australia where I visited Ayers Rock, Coober Pety, Alice Springs, and other towns along the way before returning to the coast. It was getting near Christmas by now and my Christmas Eve was spent around a bonfire on the beach at Byron Bay with friends that I met at the youth hostel where I was staying. The following day the hostel staff cooked us Christmas dinner which was eaten outside in the the hot sun on picnic tables. It was an amazing way to spend Christmas! Then I headed back to Sydney for just a couple of days, then off to Melbourne. I worked in Melbourne for a couple of months to get spending money to continue on my journey. Time was running out on my six month visa and I wasn't ready to go home just yet! I went to Tasmania and renewed my visa for an additional six months. Then I returned to Melbourne before heading on my journey again, now determined to visit every state in the country before returning home to Canada. I travelled westward to Perth, passing through Adelaide. Then I travelled up along the west coast to "the top" and visited Darwin and Cairns. While in Cairns I found work for five weeks as a cook on a prawn trawler in the Gulf of Carpenteria. It was a lot of work but an unforgettable experience. After this I went to Brisbane and worked for a while before leaving on my return trip to Canada. On the way home I stopped off again in Fiji and and also stopped in Hawaii for a few days before returning to Vancouver.

I enjoyed this trip because of all the unforgettable experiences that I had and all of the wonderful and interesting people that I met along the way. I hadn't worn a jacket in nearly a year and had the best suntan ever!

My most memorable trip would be a vacation my family took about 7 years ago. We traveled, by car, from Upstate NY to Williamsburg, Virgina where we stayed for 10 days. Not only did I get to experience the reenactments of old world Williamsburg, but I spent several days at the infamous theme park, Bush Gardens, which, at the time, was much more exciting then Williamsburg.
Williamsburg in itself is a wonderful place to visit, especially for those interested in Pre-American Revolutionary history, but the welcomeness of the town and it's reenactors was what really made it special.

One of my favorite vacations would have to be a trip my family and i took to Lebanon in summer 2004. The trip begins with a pit stop in Toronto for a few hours. The few hours in Toronto were great we got to stretch our legs and what not, but the best was yet to come. After departing from Toronto we embarked on the longest portion of the flight, Toronto to Amsterdam, our second pit stop. I like to think of our stop in Amsterdam as a little bonus trip. We were there for the day. I wish we could have stayed longer, it was such a cool city. Finally from Amsterdam we headed on the last leg of the flight to Lebanon. We arrived in Lebanon late the next evening, altogether spending about 16 hours flying. We then went on to enjoy two months of 30 degree plus temperatures with no rain! Beirut the capital city of Lebanon truly is "the Paris of the middle-east" .
All in all a great experience!

The best trip of my life would be 2 years ago, when i went to live in Scotland with my boyfriend Kevin. We worked and stayed there for about 9 months and then traveled Western Europe. My top places were Amsterdam, Athens/ Santorini, and Rome. But my favorite was Prague, the scenery, food, prices, people and hostels were awesome. For 3 nights accomidation it cost me $56.00 and to go out for a 3 course meal under $12. It also was the first place we stopped where it was really warm, with no snow and no floddings. So many travelers stay there and never leave. I can see why...

One of my memorable trips was to Europe. My family and I drove from Goose Bay Labrador to Labrador City on a dirt road. From there we drove to Toronto and caught a flight rom Toronto to Koln germany , spent a week there and rented a car to Rome, Italy. It was so beautiful in Rome, then we took a train to Switzerland and spend a few days there and we flew back to Toronto from Germany and spend a few days there, last minute shoping. Picked up a habit from Italy. Drinking red wine. We drove back to Labrador City and took the Trans Labrador highway back to Goose Bay. One of the only places in Canada that is not paved. We were exhausted when we got back. It was one of many trips we took and I plan to go back to Europe again, Piza was absolutely beautiful. It was good to be back in Canada.

Scott, I've tried three times to get this straight, sorry it's so brief.
My favorite vacation was backpacking around Europe for Two Months. While I hit most of the major cities I realized I would have to see them all again on a seperate visit with more money.
My Highlights were, sneaking over the rope in the Louvre to sit at Marie Antoinette's Vanity, visiting the ruins of Pompeii, Standing atop of The Acropolis, taking the Orient Express to Budapest, Visiting an Ossuary in The Chezch Republic made entirely of human bones, Visiting Anne Frank's House, standing before Breughel's greatest works, and doing it alone.
Travelling alone meant there were no arguements as to where to go or what to do. But when you're backpacking you're only as alone as you want to be. Every city, every hostel, every train station, is an opportunity to make a friend. The friends I made along the way is what made this trip truly memorable.
Happy Trails...

My favourite vaction would have to be my grade 9 trip to Québec/Montreal. It was memorable because all of my friends were there and we all got to do a lot of shopping, experience the different people and places, and all around new things. The best part of the trip was watching one of my friends try to order a large double double at Tim Hortons in french.

I have only gone on two real vacations in my life, one to Florida with my family when I was in grade 4 and one to New York, Washington and Virginia in grade 9 as a school trip.Going to Florida was great because it was the first time I had been in an airplane and we went to all the big theme parks. My favorite vacation was the school trip.Every student in grade 9 went on this trip, including my best friend in the world. We had to fundraise all year in order to do so. We took The Cat ferry from Yardmouth to Maine and then on the bus from there. New York was amazing, we went to a broadway show, centralpark and so many other places. Only being 14 at the time, I dont think I truly appreciated it as much as I would today, but I have lots of pictures and memories to look back at and remember how great it really was!

My favorite vacation trip was to Mexico. I went with my family May of 2006. We stayed on a resort about 45 minutes from Cancun. We relaxed for most of the vacation but we did do a bit of sight seeing. We went to a bird sanctuary and we went to see Chichen Itza (Mayan Pyrmaids)It was a great trip and I would definetly go again.

My most memorable trip was this past summer. It was just a drive to Ontario with one of my close friends, but the journey was amazing. We got lost in montreal, ran out of gas, and slept in a parking lot to name a few things. And this was all with-in a 24 hour time period. It was just a day but it was my favorite one to recall.

My favorite vacation so far seems kind of silly after reading about everyone's trips to Rome and Mexico and Paris etc. but I'd have to say my favorite was going to Cape Breton this past summer with my boyfriend dan and his family. Not very exotic but I had never been before so I was excited to see the places that he had so many stories about because when he was younger, he spent every summer there. Also, I was excited to meet his family, as the majority of them live in Cape Breton. When I got there, everyone was so welcoming and made me feel really comfortable, which is what made the trip most memorable for me.

My best trip was this past summer. While most students were working hard and saving money for school, me and two friends bought a car and drove across the country.
We took a month to make the trip from Halifax to Tofino, BC, stopping and visiting people all along the way. The highlight of the trip would probably be the Winnipeg folk fest...four days of dancing, substance abuse and banjos.

I would say my favourite vacation was about 2 years ago when my family took my older brother to Nantucket Island to work. We drove through New Brunswick, Maine, Boston, and stayed in Cape Cod. We took the ferry over to Nantucket and it's small enough that we walked around the who town stopping in shops. It is a very beautiful place with coblestone roads and very expensive stores. We spread the trip over a week so i got to miss a bit of school. haha

I really like this trip because it was my first time really going out of Canada, and i got to say good bye to my brother for 6 months, which was a relief. I would love to go back there sometime!

For me choosing a favorite vacation is difficult, but I'd have to select my camping trip to Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland. My friends and I spend nearly a week cramming everything in and taking as many pictures as possible. Its so exciting and breathtaking words can't describe it. Personally,
I'll always remember climbing Gros Morne mountain and camping in bear territory. We even had a snowball fight mid-July, no joke. We hiked alot during our stay reaching various destinations. The tablelands, fjords, waterfalls, and mountains were amazing. The entire trip surpassed my expectations with flying colours and for anyone who has never been should make an effort to visit Gros Morne.

This is a reflection of my favourite vacation:
During the summer of 2001 my parents planned a family road trip all the way to Vancouver from Ontario. My mom and dad packed up the family van and our tent trailer with all our supplies that we would need for a whole month. Then my brothers and I piled into the van with my parents and away we went. From my home town, Bowmanville Ontario, we went north to Thunder Bay. We passed some beautiful Canadian Shield scenery and ended up getting to our camp site at 2am. The next day we were on the road to Winnipeg. We then went to Saskatoon, where the sunsets are gorgeous. We made it all the way to the Okanogan Valley in about 1 1/2 weeks. Spending 8 to 10 hours a day with my siblings in a van was trying, but looking back it was a blast. In the Okanogan we met up with family and spent a week at a resort. From Okanogan we made it through the Rockies to Vancouver. The scenery was beautiful and I will never forget it. Being able to stick my feet into Lake Louise was an exhilarating experience. The most amazing part of my experience in BC was hiking through the mountains in Vancouver. We spent a whole day biking around Stanley Park in Vancouver. It was amazing to bike through the trails and see redwoods that were 100s of years old. Many of the tress is hollowed out so that you could stand inside them and look up. Another amazing experience in Vancouver was Gas Town. Here the first steam operated clock stands. Three are many beautiful shops and cafes in Gas Town. There is so much beauty on the West Coast and experiencing it first hand is something I will never forget.
On the way home from BC my family and I stopped at places like Edmonton, where I got to experience the West Edmonton Mall. Spending time in Calgary was great because we went to the Olympic Park where we got to explore the ski hills and the Olympic Arena. Drumhellar was another tourist spot that I loved. Learning about dinosaurs at the museum was so neat.
Arriving home was a relief from being in the van for almost a month and a half, but that is on family vacation I will always cherish.

My most memorable trip was when I went to british columbia. I traveled there for 5 weeks and I stayed in different places while I was there but I mainly lived in Kelownia. It was a lot different there then Nova Scotia definitly a lot bigger haha i'm from a small town where everyone knows everyone, and I'm used to other people talking different, but when I was there everyone told me I talked different. While I was there learned how to surf, soo fun! It was also my first time flying.. I hated it.. because it was scary. but it was still a good experience.

Scott,
I haven't really had the opportunity to travel a whole lot in my years. The vacation that sticks out most in my memory was when I was 4 years old and my father and I flew to Toronto to stay with my Aunt for Christmas.
This was my first time on a plane and I was scared. I dont rememeber exactly how long the flight was but once I arrived in the Toronto airport I clung to my fathers leg so I didn't get lost.
We had a beautiful Christmas. My Aunt showed up from Indonesia and brought us all some gifts from there.
I remember my cousin, Nolan and I playing downstairs in the basement. We were coloring and he told me his mom, my Aunt let him draw on the walls once. Me being gulliable, decided I wanted to give her a nice Xmas gift and draw on her walls and carpet. Well let me tell you that it was the WORST present she received that year. I ended up scrubbing the carpet and Nolan had to scrub the walls because he lied and told me to.
The only good thing about that experience was I got a cookie afterwards:)
As I mentioned before I haven't had the opportunity to travel as much as I would like to but this vacation was the one I remember the most even though it was so long ago...

My most memorable trip would have to be when i was in grade 11 and my highschool band went on a trip to Boston and New york, there were around 100 people going on the trip and we were split into two busses and drove for hours and hours, when we arrived in New York we got settled in our hotel ( Hotel Pennslavania) that night we all went to see Phanthom of the Opera on Broadway, it was amazing. The next day we made our way to Boston where we stayed the longest and got to see many amazing things such as The Blue Man Group, this was my favorite trip becuase I was able to do so many interesting things in such a short amount of time. I became very close with many of my band mates and would do it again anytime.

my most memorable trip was when I went to Ottawa on a class trip. It was so amazing,We had a tour guide throughout our trip all around Ottawa. We went to the Parliment building, and it was an amazing experience. We did so many things up there. You wouldn't think there was a lot to do in a small city..but there is.

This trip was memorable because I was with my friends and the experience of other provinces in Canada.

I always loved traveling since I was a kid. My parents always took my brother and I on trips throughout the martimes and to Ottawa once when I was in grade four. In junior high I went to Quebec and Boston. A few years ago, I went to Mexico with a group called operation christmas child, where we gave needy children shoeboxes packed with gifts and school supplies. It was a amazing trip that I will never forget. A couple years ago I went to Florida with my uncle and three little cousins. It was so much fun because I love going on rides and I went on as many as I could when I was there, including a sling shot ride that was a blast!!!! This summer I went to Pennsylvania to work at a camp and on my days off I went to New York three times, and lots of places in Penn. I hope I never stop traveling!!!!

Unknown said...

Wow! It seems that everybody has a blast. For me , I would definitely say Australia.
Due to poor student's status, I traveled on 'Working Holiday' for 9 months. From the beginning of the journey ,having only $500 in my pocket and one way air-ticket, to the end, NEVER apart from 'poor nomad'. In fact, working there was unique exprience rather than just traveling. Oh good money, too- I ended up with my first car, The Blue Mountain', driving across Aussie and its biggest island, Tasmania, and airplane tickets to Europes and Korea.
Night driving in the Outback is one of adventures or disasters. This is all about avoiding a crash to Kangaroos, sheeps or cows. I bet I would be good at avoing a MOOSE here. Notice that lots of backpackers dropped out from their journey because of its crashes- believe it or not!!!.
Still remember clearly sleeping on the roof of car in the middle of nowhere of outback, being stuck in the outback sand, a hundreds of beatiful beaches, a sort of pilgrim towards the 'Urulu(Ayersrock)'and so on...
I hope we sit down together sharing our unforgettable memories one day.

We sailed around the caribbean. (Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, U.S virgin Islands) It was my favourite trip because I love hot weather and laying on the beach. Also my sister and her husband surprised me in Florida and came on the cruise with us.

I haven't really had much history with vacationing, but of the few places I have visited, my favorite vacation would have to be to Florida. I was younger when I travelled there, but I still remember how much fun I had while I was there. It was for 2 weeks, and I visited 3 of the main parks -Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, and Busch Gardens. The worst part about this vacation was that I drove there.

I would have to say that my favorite vacation would be the annual trip to Calgary, Alberta.
Every year at the start of july I travel to visit my aunt and uncle for the great Calgary stampede.
The last 2 years I have gone, I've been able to drink legally so my uncle introduced me to the wildest side of the stampede. We hang out with his friends and colleagues for the whole week and just golf, then go to the stampede and get drunk as possible.
The stampede is the most intense experience compared to the other vacations I've had. But I'm sure if my uncle was to come on all my trips then I would have an amazing experience everywhere I went becuase he's just that kind of guy.
My favorite destination in the world so fare has been Calgary during the stampede.

My favorite vacation would have to be my trip to Florida with my best friend during our grade 12 spring break. We stayed at her family's condo in Sarasota, which was seconds from the beach. Our 10 days were spent mainly, on the beach, playing tennis and shopping. This vacation stands out as my favorite because Sarasota was such a friendly city. I didn't feel at all like a tourist; it was like I'd been there forever. My only regret is not making it to Disney World and Busch Gardens. Oh well, next time!

My Vacation History

The two best words in the english language ROAD TRIP. And that is what i was on back in the summer of 1999. My family would only go on vacations when me or my sis were in a basketball or baseball tournament, this time i had a july 1st weekend baseball tournament in prince edward island. I always liked goign to p.e.i because i have family over there and who can go pei and not stop by cavidish. But that stuff is for another story i was here to play baseball.
The weekend started off with the family packing into a toyta tursel aka the turtlesel because of it amazing speed haha jk, from dartmouth on friday at 6 am, and ended up in pei for 2pm to play one of the host teams and then later on that night we got the chance to play another pei team in a night game. We won both games and earned a spot in the semi final against the team p.e.i was sending to the national baseball championships and got to play on a major league type ball park in charlettown.
This was the first time me or any of my team mates got to play on a feild in this prestine type condition. Some stuff just made you sit back and enjoy the night, like band stands that wraped around the back stop instead of having cheap wrecketey wooden bandstands like the ones in dartmouth. A built in water foutaine in teh duggouts, and what really made you feel special is the p.a system. being so young usually no one annouced your name befor you came up to bat, so little things like that makes a big difference.
My team ended up lossing but i didnt mind because it always fun to play against the best. So what made this vacation better then most of my others would have to be getting the chance to play at the best feilds in pei and almost pulling off the upset against the best team in pei at the time.

Sorry about the nickname i swore i put that in as my password,
